Toys for Tots Donation Drive, in partnership with Fox4 News and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will once again hold a collection event at the Allen Event Center on Thursday, December 7 from 5 to 10 p.m. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy and then join us inside Allen Event Center for a night of fun and festivities! Enjoy an Open Skate on the big ice from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. We’ll also be showing the movie The Polar Express on the arena’s giant video boards beginning at 6:15 p.m.

This year’s Toys for Tots drive marks a number of firsts! Previously, the toys were only collected for five hours the evening of the Fox4 live broadcast. This year, the drive event will be a culmination of four weeks of collection efforts amongst local organizations and businesses, including the City of Allen, Allen Parks and Recreation Department, Allen Event Center, Allen Economic Development Corporation, Allen Independent School District, Allen/Fairview Chamber of Commerce, Allen Fire Department and other area businesses. Also for the first time, Allen Community Outreach will be a direct recipient of toys collected through the Toys for Tots drive. By partnering with Toys for Tots in 2017, Allen Community Outreach can focus more resources toward other essential needs including food and clothing, while still fulfilling their clients’ holiday toy needs.
